National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course

Have you considered a vocation course to help your employment chances? We currently offer the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course, the UK’s premier lifeguarding qualification. The course comprises a mix of physical training and theoretical class room work including lifeguarding skills, pool rescue, first aid and CPR including the use of an Automated External Defibrillator.

 

Our current NPLQ course running in July is now full. We will release details of our next course, which will likely be run during October, in due course. Please check back regularly for specific dates and contact details.

Are you 16+ years old?

If you can complete the following requirements then this course is for you:

  • Swim 100 metres continuously
  • Tread water for 30 seconds
  • Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
  • Dive to 3.8 metres
  • Enter and exit the water without using the steps

We will require tyou to email email your expression of interest ahead of the nedt course, contact detials will be provided once the next course date is confirmed. 

A compulsory swim test must be attended in advance to ensure competency. This will take place during an evening ahead of the course start date and will be confirmed neare the time. .
