National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course

Have you considered a vocation course to help your employment chances? We currently offer the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course, the UK’s premier lifeguarding qualification. The course comprises a mix of physical training and theoretical class room work including lifeguarding skills, pool rescue, first aid and CPR including the use of an Automated External Defibrillator.

Are you 16+ years old?

If you can complete the following requirements then this course is for you:

  • Jump or dive into the water
  • Swim 100 meters continuously on front and then 100 meters on back
  • Tread water for 30 seconds
  • Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
  • Dive to 3.8 metres
  • Enter and exit the water without using the steps

Course Dates: Monday 21st to Friday 25th July 2025 – 08:00 – 18:00

Assessment Date: Saturday 26th July 2025 10:00 – 14:00

Venue: Splashpoint Leisure Centre
Price:  £300.00

 

 

A compulsory swim test must be attended in advance to ensure competency. This will take place during the evening of Sunday 22nd June 2025.
